Wegdraai Boerdery is situated in the Thabazimbi Bushveld.

Pieter van der Walt, and later Tjaart as well, have always been breeders of Afrikaner cattle but in all that time he was also actively involved in the breeding of game.

Buffalos have always been one of Pieter's great passions and in 2000 he initiated a buffalo breeding project at Phalaborwa.

The buffalo project kicked off with the best of selected genetics from the Kruger National Park. The result is clearly to be seen in the beautiful buffalo herd currently on Wegdraai.

Additional breeding projects include West Zambian and Matetsi sable antelope, the golden wildebeest (golden gnu) breeding project since 2009 and also Hartswater springbuck.

Wegdraai Boerdery’s magnificent kudu are bred with the very best genetics. The result of more than 25 years of selection and years of experience.
